Wayne Passion Reid (Rasta Survivor)

Two time JUNO Nominee, Wayne Passion, is known as Toronto, Canada’s long time reggae artist, plus songwriter and producer.  Passion is also the Cofounder of Toronto’s ‘No Gun Coalition’ with a project goal of removing guns from the streets in order to cut down the amount of violence occurring on the streets of Toronto and its surrounding areas. 

Wayne Passion has been in a creative exile preparing for what he describes as the “Rhythm Wake” of his career with the new single ‘SON’, produced by Wayne Passion courtesy of 40 and A Blunt Records.  His new single, entitled ‘SON’ was released in November 2009. This track introduces and solidifies a new hybrid genre of Hip-hop, Rock and Ska mix. The beat for the reggae version of ‘SON’ is courtesy of Market House Production Records in Jamaica and will be released in spring of 2010.  The remix featuring Felicia Reid, Wayne’s Daughter, will be released in summer of 2010, along with the anticipated music video of SON.
